Project Kalay depends on people like you to make a difference and change lives. Your contributions go a long way.  Project Kalay is a tax exempt organization under IRS Code 501(c)3 allowing us to accept tax-deductible donations from our supporters in the USA.      Beginning in 2016, we sponsored hand-washing and basic nursing care to 1400 boys  at the Naga Kalay orphanage in Yangon, Myanmar and shortly followed with training at an additional large monasteries in Yangon.   Moving into 2017, our goal was to support these first orphanages with a steady supply of soap, hygiene education and initiate a similar level of training and support at an expanded number of orphanages throughout Myanmar.  During 2020 as the world began to reel from the pandemic, we shifted focus on humanitarian relief to support food security for the children in the monasteries. Now as Myanmar is enveloped in civil unrest, we have temporarily suspended our activities in Myanmar.
